About
I am the Worship Director for Peninsula Bible Fellowship, a non-denominational church just outside Bremerton, Wa. I have lived here most of my life, grown roots, and determined to share the Love of Jesus Christ with my community.
Growing up in the church and a Christian home, I was introduced to Jesus at an early age. Not until High school did I pick up the guitar because the previous “worship leader” graduated. Took a few lessons from a country western teacher and then decided I was better off on my own. Learned some chords and before long I was singing songs to Jesus.
I received a degree in Music from Washington State University. Not long after that I woke up and realized that you can’t do much with a music degree and no teaching degree. God moved me to become a missionary with Children of the Nations. I spent 2 years with them in Sierra Leone.
In between trips to Africa I met my future wife, whom I had met in High school youth group years earlier, and we quickly got engaged. I have always been involved in some sort of ministry, Young Life, Youth Group, Missions, even while having an outside career running restaurants. I am still running restaurants while acting as the Worship Director at my church. Being in the world and in ministry is difficult and challenging but a great reminder about what it is like outside the walls of a church.
